WHAT YOU GET FROM WOOD FLOOR RESTORING CO.
A free assessment and advice
We will visit your properly, and give your floors a full examination - with no obligation. Having assessed the timber and determined its previous treatment, we will recommend the best means of repair and restoration. All this depends on your specific needs. With the overwhelming variety of stains and sealants on the market, the choice is yours. Traditional or modern; natural or artificial; oil or lacquer, we’ll offer you practical comparison of their qualities.
Fixed prices
We have broken down every stage in the repair and restoration process - and offer a fixed price for each. As in any sphere of life, you get what you pay for. We always recommend the highest quality products, as they give a better result, last longer - and prove the best value for money in the long run. Allow us to create the restoration package you need - within your budget. You’ll know exactly what you’ll be paying, with no unpleasant surprises.
Modern floor sanding is very efficient, but you will experience some disruption from your usual routine. The job will take at least a full day, and large projects may require rooms to be out of use for several days. Sanding machines are notoriously nosy and dusty: particularly the traditional drum sanders. The dust they spread can linger for days. This is not the atmosphere you want for family, staff and customers when the floor is back in service. Our modern cylinder machines have a unique dust collection system – they collect 98% of all dust, as the collection bags are kept outside the rooms as they are sanded. We further minimize dust by the use of covers and the masking of doors and windows.
Moving Furniture
We need a clear room in which to work - but there is no need to do the job yourself. Allow us to move your furniture for you – and replace it when the finish is dry. Most important: don’t replace large items or kitchen appliances yourself - and take the chance of scratching your beautiful new floor!
Old Carpets
Ripping these up is not as straightforward as it may appear: they can be heavy, leave bits behind – and any staples need the right tools for easy removal. And then you will have to dispose of the carpet. It may be too big and heavy for an average car. Just leave it all to us. We’ll remove every trace – and dispose of it carefully.
